Join Us for the 82nd Annual Meeting
Dear Members,
West Oregon Electric Cooperative is a not-for-profit electric cooperative owned and governed by the members we serve. Each year, our annual meeting provides an opportunity to come together, review the past year, look ahead and participate in the cooperative governance process.
I invite you and your family to join us for the 82nd Annual Meeting on Saturday, Aug. 15, at The Cabin in Vernonia, 901 Park Drive in Vernonia. Registration begins at 10 a.m., with the business meeting starting at 11 a.m. Lunch and a raffle will immediately follow the meeting. We hope you’ll join us.
This year’s board of directors election features two incumbent directors seeking reelection:
- Jim Buxton, District 3 (Vernonia East)
- Mark Ludeman, District 7 (Washington/Yamhill counties)
Both candidates are running unopposed. However, your vote is still important. Even in uncontested elections, member participation is essential to achieve the quorum required to conduct the annual meeting and the cooperative’s business.
Election packets have been mailed to all primary members, and electronic voting is now open. Refer to your mailed election packet for instructions on casting your ballot online.
Be sure to submit your vote for the 2026 board of directors election by 11 a.m. Thursday, August 13. As a thank you for participating, every primary member account that votes will receive a one-time $5 bill credit.
